Alyeska Bike Park Guide: Downhill Mountain Biking

The Alyeska Bike Park is the center of summer lift-access mountain biking in Southcentral Alaska, offering trails ranging from fast, flowy cruiser runs to technical jump lines and rocky chutes.

Bike Park Schedule & Access

For the summer season, the Alyeska Bike Park operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (weather permitting). The park closing day is typically scheduled for mid-September. Access is served via the Bear Valley Quad chairlift or the Aerial Tram.

Downhill Trail Progression

The park features a clear trail progression. Beginners can start on the wide, flowy 'Cruiser' trail, while advanced riders can test their skills on steep, technical trails like 'Treats' and 'Highliner', which feature drops, wallrides, and rock gardens.

Rentals, Gear, & Safety

Full-suspension downhill bike rentals, body armor, and full-face helmets are available at the Alyeska Daylodge. A full-face helmet is highly recommended for all riders in the park.
