Operating Schedule & Tunnel Windows
The Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel (Whittier Tunnel) is a one-way, shared rail and highway tunnel linking Portage to Whittier. Because the tunnel is single-lane and shared with trains, traffic is strictly scheduled in alternating 20-minute operating windows.
