Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility (AWWU)
AWWU provides public water and sanitary sewer services to most central Girdwood properties. Customer accounts and billing are integrated into the Anchorage municipal portals.
Chugach Electric & ENSTAR Natural Gas
Electricity is supplied by Chugach Electric Association, while heating natural gas is managed by ENSTAR. Always call 811 (Digline) before executing any yard excavation to locate underground lines.
Alaskan Bear-Proof Trash Management
Trash collection is managed by Alaska Waste. Under local municipal ordinances, all trash containers stored outdoors must be certified bear-resistant to prevent attracting brown and black bears into residential neighborhoods.
