Cellular Coverage by Carrier
GCI and AT&T offer the most reliable cellular coverage in Girdwood. Verizon signal is generally strong in the town center but can degrade or drop inside dense spruce tree canopies, residential streets, and upper valley zones (like Crow Creek Road).
Residential Internet & Speeds
GCI is the primary provider of high-speed residential internet in the valley, offering cable plans with speeds up to 1 Gbps or 2.5 Gbps. Starlink satellite internet is also a popular choice for properties nestled deep in the forest where physical cable hookups are unavailable.
Public WiFi Hotspots
Free public WiFi is available at the Girdwood Public Library, Girdwood Brewing Company, and inside the Hotel Alyeska lobby. Many local restaurants also offer customer WiFi; ask staff for passwords.
