Girdwood Forest Fair: Music, Crafts & Community Guide

The Girdwood Forest Fair is a legendary Alaskan summer festival. Held annually in the forest of Girdwood, this free community event features local artists, food booths, and live music with a strict 'no dogs, no politics, no religious orders' policy.

Event Dates & Schedule

The 51st Annual Forest Fair is scheduled for July 3, 4, and 5, 2026. The fair features continuous live music across three forest stages, food trucks serving local seafood and treats, and a Saturday morning parade at 10:00 AM.

Fair Rules & Guidelines

To maintain its unique community atmosphere, the fair enforces strict rules: no dogs or pets are allowed on the fairgrounds, and there are no political or religious booths. Admission is completely free, and all proceeds support local community projects.

Travel & Parking

Due to high traffic and limited parking, visitors are strongly encouraged to utilize the free shuttle buses running between the Seward Highway parking lots and the fairgrounds.
