Girdwood Forest Fair Parking & Shuttle Information

With thousands of visitors arriving for the Forest Fair, parking in Girdwood is highly restricted. Learn where to park and how to utilize the free community shuttle system.

Free Shuttle Routes & Operating Hours

During the Forest Fair (July 3โ€“5, 2026), free shuttle buses run continuously from morning to night. Shuttles connect major remote parking lots along the Alyeska Highway directly to the fairgrounds entrance, reducing local road congestion.

Designated Remote Parking Lots

Primary parking is available at the Alyeska Resort Daylodge and designated fields near the Seward Highway intersection. Parking on the shoulders of the Alyeska Highway or in residential neighborhoods is strictly prohibited and subject to towing.

Traffic & Highway Alerts

Expect heavy delays on the Seward Highway and Alyeska Highway during the fair weekend. Plan to arrive early, carpool if possible, or ride a bicycle along the paved valley path.
